The Clan Haddegow
The Clan Haddegow is one of the three major clans in Northgard and was formed by Laird Aidan Becket Haddegow many centuries ago. They make their home upon the Steel Marches, which is a mixture of snowy forests and rural wintery highlands. Here they have easy access to food, wood and water, and they thrive off trade with the Dwarven Kingdom below. They often make war with the clans Hjaltmark and Hrothgar in addition to constant skirmishing with the Empire over land and materials.
Their current leader is the young Laird Thomas Haddegow, who has exceptional standing with the Dwarven Thanes of the Underkingdom. He is considered a wise man, especially for his age, and, unlike his neighbors north of him, he prefers to make peace before turning to war. Despite his clan's harsh relations with the Empire, Laird Thomas is good friends with the currently ill Emperor. Despite all attempts to contact him, it appears his messages go intercepted and Thomas is clearly weighed down with a heavy heart as he goes to war with those he once considered good friends.
The Inquisition is known to work closely with this clan when they're in Northgard as Clan Haddegow is often known to be one of Khaos' most feared enemies, with their invention of the Claymore and "Steel Hurricane" formation. The Steel Hurricane formation is a tactic used by the clan's warriors to cut through Khaos' legions(especially his Daemons) with relative efficiency. When paired with the Inquisition's expertise on dealing with corruption, terrorism, Daemons and heretics, even Khaos himself would show fear.
