This is all the recent and relevant news towards the politics of Port Revarine. Anything involving Port Revarine should and will be here.
The Mage Threat
After recent events from the Liberation Forces and the criminal Sin, the politicians have redirected the general public's attention to rekindling the god born fear of mages and the arcane. Daily, more and more people are called out as witches or wizards to be executed, some civilians taking it on themselves to just burn them themselves (after which they still are arrested for taking the law in their own hands). Guarde reports against mages (whether they are accurate or not) have increased exponentially.
Along with this self-inflicting terror, the Rangers and Legionaries alike have spread the word of an almost godly purple robed man who rides the skies, smiting Imperials where ever he finds them. Guarde and civilian alike can be caught on edge when the weather takes a turn.
The Baron is No More
While the Reform of Faith absorbed the Erodemian Army, the Baron had remained as the last piece of that past. Unfortunately for him, he had the misfortune of dealing with multiple rebellions under the time which the Reform had only recently happened, ruining his reputation.
After what is only rumored to have been direct threats by the Inquisition, the Baron has officially stepped down and fallen into obscurity for possibly good. In related news, it has been announced that by the end of the week there will be a ceremony introducing the newly established Baroness, High Inquisitor Roe.
Liberation Forces
There's never was and never likely will be any solid form of news from the Liberation, making the Port sadly the most reliable source of information when Rangers return from patrols. From their reports, for now, the Liberation has nearly gone non-existent to them since the fall of Fjorsette.
