Auberon Theosyril's legacy begins as far back as ancient Netheril, in the times of man's unprecedented endeavors with the arcane. As a genius born in The Silver Age, Auberon's mastery over magic was coextensive with his natural physical prowess. Auberon's birth placed him at the beginning of the flourishing times of Netheril not long after Ioulaum's invention of the mythallar. Auberon was inevitably educated by the greatest arcanists that ever walked the face of Faerun, yet his natural affinity rapidly led him above his masters until he became one of the leading archmagi of Netherese history. That is, of course, until his untimely encounter with the aberrant known as Xil'krith.
Centuries after his birth, Auberon lead half a dozen of his likewise exceptionally gifted friends into an expedition through the convoluted layers of one of the more dynamic Far Realms - a feat consummately impressive, yet eminently dangerous. It was there that a supernatural entity effectually overpowered the group in one pass and dominated Auberon’s mind, leaving the rest to perish. The aberrant that later became known as Xil'krith implanted itself in the mind of Auberon as an Ulitharid and underwent the traditional process of ceremophosis - one of the more effective ways for an aberrant to reside unperturbed within the prime.
Xil'krith persevered in Auberon like a parasite, and was the leading reason behind Karsus' Folly and the fall of Netheril. It was not until several millennia after that divine intervention separated the two, causing Auberon's body to rapidly undergo a reverse morphological transformation. The aberrance left Auberon's mind with fragments of mortal lives before his - lives that date as far back to the Days of Thunder, perhaps further for concept of time beyond the multiverse is unfathomable. The aberrance retreated from the Prime once again, having wrought cataclysmic tragedies throughout history since the days of the Creator Race. Remnants of Xil'krith's indisputable power still surges through the blackened veins of Auberon to this day, leaving him a mere perversion of his previous self.
