Putting a hook onto attacks would cause massive amounts of lag. It's not plausible.

There is a default effect for that though isn't there? That you can just apply to weapons? o-o Like some sort of knockdown thing? or disorients or something along that line?

There's no on-hit knockdown but there's stuff like on-hit stun.

Yea, even if this was feasible I wouldn't be for it. Smashing someone's skull in with a mace or war hammer is just as deadly is slicing them up with a sword.
Also I'm going to chime in and say Mount and Blade is one of the best games ever made and you should all play it at some point.
