Name: Slade Bitterman
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Neutral Evil
Deities: Mask
Height: 6’2”
Weight: 140 lbs
Age: 24
Birthplace: Shou Lung, Kara-Tur
Weapons of choice: longbow, rapier, dagger and poison
Physical Overview: Rather tall and light for his height, he appears somewhat lanky although he moves about with incredible grace and dexterity. Every move he makes appears deliberate and planned and he almost always appears to know exactly what he is doing at all times.
He has a dark complexion, with tanned skin and unkempt, pitch black hair that hangs about his head in disorganized strands. He has a dark, scruffy beard that he seems unable to grow out fully, and he is usually seen scratching at it when thinking something over. He appears similar to other humans native to the land; however smatterings of a partial far-eastern heritage dot his features, most notably in his cheekbones and in the subtle difference in the shape of his dark eyes.
Pins, badges, tattoos and other markings dot his person, all of which represent a myriad of different factions he has been a part of in his wanderings around the world. Emblems from the Cult of the Dragon, the Zhents, the Harpers, the Shadow Thieves of Amn and many other notorious organizations are on display.
Personality: Slade is conflicted and angry individual. He harbors hatred for his father and the lessons he was taught as a child. He despises the status-quo as well as the establishment, and is dissatisfied with almost every moral theory, religion and way of life he has come across. He hates the way the world works, but sees himself as just one man who cannot effect change in anything. Instead of working to create change, he decides to plunge into the hostile and selfish aspects of the world, wanting himself to become a walking example of what a terrible society produces.
He has wandered all over the world, joining countless groups and factions along the way. He has worked as mercenary, thief, bandit and assassin and he mainly does jobs others consider too dangerous or too dirty for anyone else.
He is evil by default, due to his main profession as an assassin and his willingness to do evil for money, however he does not revel in killing. Unlike many of his associates, he does not kill out of emotion or for enjoyment, he sees killing as a necessary part of his business. When sent out on missions, he usually tries to keep the body count as low as possible, and does not like harming people who are not his target. He can even be seen helping heal uninvolved people he has injured. He does this not out of a moral sense of good, but out of a vain notion he has of “professionalism” and attempting to be a perfectionist.
He is highly educated, and fiercely intelligent. He has obviously spent time at a university and he is well read and (when he wants to be) well spoken. When he wishes to, he can appear witty, charming and pleasant to be around in conversation, which contrasts heavily with his usual preference of being bawdy, crass and low-brow. He fluently speaks four different languages (Common, Elven, Infernal, and Kao Te Shou) and loves literature. He enjoys poetry, music and art of all kinds, and he has a high amount of respect and appreciation for bards and artists. Missions that involve the slaying of artists and intellectuals he almost always tends to avoid.
Overall he appears as someone from a higher class background, although he doesn't usually act it.
