Name: Jorian Darius
Sex: Male
Race: Human
Alignment: Lawful Good
Deities: Tyr, The Triad
Height: 5’11”
Weight: Around 180 lbs.
Age: 25
Birthplace: Beggar’s Nest, Neverwinter
Level: 5 fighter, 15 paladin, 5 rouge
Gold: Very little
Special Abilities: Basic paladin stuff
Weapons of choice: Favors a scimitar, but has been known to use long swords, great swords, hidden daggers or even his damn fists if it comes down to it. He carries two scimitars with him, one is a holy avenger and the other is an older, unsettling-looking scimitar with crude tally marks carved into the hilt.
Physical Overview:
Jorian is tall and strong looking with an overall intimidating appearance if he wishes to appear in such a way. His body is well muscled all over but not to the point of disgusting brutishness. His skin is naturally pale, however recently he has received a tan from escapades in the desert. His face is incredibly handsome to most, being carved with strong, masculine angles and left with a clean shaven appearance free of any blemishes. His pale blue eyes are warrior-like in nature and can appear to be staring through someone instead of actually at them. However, his face can shift from a stern glare to a warming and comforting smile in moments.
…and he has well kept, shoulder length and strangely attractive, blue hair. It is not his natural color, obviously, and when asked about it he usually avoids telling the whole tale, spouting phrases like: “It’s a long story…” or “Meh, maybe later.” The color only effects the hair on his head, however, giving him blue eyebrows and a potential blue beard, but brown colored body hair.
Personal relatives:
Father: Khamed Darius – Deceased
Mother: Morgana Pridewind Darius – Deceased
Sister: Stephanie Darius – Deceased
Personality:
The first thing about Jorian’s personality that jumps out at people is his somewhat unorthodox and relaxed take on his role of a paladin. Unlike most, he was not raised from birth to be a paladin but instead was raised on the opposite side of the law. He has a valuable even if mind-splitting incite into many of his enemies minds due to such an upbringing. He is overwhelmingly merciful and even naïve enough to think that almost anyone can be redeemed. He has yet to realize that his change in morals was an uncommon occurrence and thus he tends to spend way more time than is needed on dealing with evil people instead of just battling them.
He is kind and generous to the point of near masochism and will sacrifice quite a bit for his loved ones. He cares almost nothing for his own self-esteem, seeming unresponsive to taunts, threats and cruel pranks from others. Such a way of living may make him seem like a push-over, and when it comes to matters of his own ego, he certainly is. However, when his loved ones or innocents are threatened, he seems to suddenly grow a pair and jumps into a vicious, dedicated defense unlike many have seen before.
A dichotomy to his kind and noble personality exists, however. In combat he is fierce and terrifyingly fast for one who wears heavy armor. His strong muscles and glowing blade tear through flesh and bone with ease and he is quite capable of ending lives in mere seconds. His is especially skilled at fighting multiple enemies at once and in his trials as a paladin, he alone has overwhelmed entire divisions on the battlefield. Neverwinter soldiers sometimes refer to him, somewhat humorously as “The Blue Devil”. He is tough, a self-appointed “meat shield” with a head hard enough to get through about anything. The guy can hold his liquor pretty damn well, too.
Background:
Jorian reveals little to the stranger of his background. Only close friends may delve into the truly deep secrets he keeps. He will tell you that he grew up in the slums of Neverwinter and that he got involved with a gang run by a brutal, cannibalistic, half-giant named Torn and a demented, yet lusty sorceress named Kryss. He’ll tell you he’s been to jail many times and he’ll tell you he’s done some bad things, but he won’t go into details without knowing you.
If one peers into his mind, they’d find his kind and friendly exterior masks some truly horrible and mind-shattering secrets. They would marvel at how he can still remain sane and know that the friendly, handsome and noble paladin is actually a shell-shocked, saddened and quite disturbed individual.
Sleep is at a premium for him.
